A yearly entry dedication to us, me & FF. Our anniversary is today! We have been married for 6 years already! Alhamdulillah. Throughout these 6 years, I think there was a year when it was especially hard for us. Becoming a first time mother & housewife, I even stopped taking photos for a while...FF busy with work and we kind off lost a bit of communication. Then when we were starting to get a hang of things, I became pregnant with Mimi. Since both pregnancies were hard & harder with Mimi, you can imagine how 'chaos' our life become. But Allah is great. Our doa is heard and our relationship is better than ever now. I could never be grateful enough with what Allah has blessed us.


For FF,
Thank you for being my soulmate. Thank you for sharing my dreams and aspirations. Thank you for always making me laugh with your antiques. Thank you for supporting me in all kind of situations especially the hard ones.
Love is always a journey & work to be better with one another.
These past years have been nothing but amazing with you and the kids. Mmg byk yg agak limited and menguji kesabaran when you have small kids on tow tapi that is part of life kan.
We have so much to achieve in the future, the most important being to get closer to the path of Allah SWT.
Let's do that while also go to places & various stadiums together.

Here is our most recent photo together, during the Bukit Tabur hike. After 4 years, now we finally are able to have lots of time just the two of us. Occasionally, we cannot escape the kids trap though.

It's been such a full week for me. Lots of actual work going on and as I am writing this, I am juggling with so much other stuff. I have a deadline, meetings, appointments, some kerani work, etc. Keep postponing the kerani work, but I shouldn't really. It's as equally important as other work.

Anyway, last Saturday was so packed for me. I had only an hour off from one thing to another. Went to Bukit Tabur in the morning, then off to photoshoot, and then off to a wedding. From before Subuh to late at night, no rest. Wow! I made it alive! Haha.

So let me tell you about the hike up the Tabur Hill. Tabur Hill has many peaks; at this time the known ones are East, West, Far East & Extreme. I heard there is another one, but I am not sure of its name. The Tabur Hill is a rocky quartz ridge hill that is located in Taman Melawati & is deemed quite dangerous. There have been few accidents there, attributed mainly to missteps of hikers & the lack of safety by the hikers themselves. This is my first time hiking at Tabur, and we went to the West side. Which is known to be challenging & dangerous.

I knew that there is some rock climbing involve but I was quite taken aback (and excited too) whenever we came to a challenging route along the way. One thing that I'd like to mention, being fit is not no 1 for a hiking trip, but the most important is the state of the mind. Mentally fit, prepared & confident.

You might be surprised to know that I actually layan K-Pop, Kdrama, etc. During our honeymoon in Korea 5 years ago, I was not a fan of anything Korea. We went there because we got a great deal and Kak Norah (the guide) was really nice and told us that if we took the trip, it would be an unforgettable lovely memory for us. And it indeed was! Best ever trip and so worth the money spent! We still keep in touch and friends with our tour group & Kak Norah.

A while after Korea, I watched a KDrama, Playful Kiss. From there, I started watching a lot of Kdrama. And then FF started watching Running Man, and I was hooked. It is hilarious & entertaining. I am still watching it since episode 1 until now..Already 260+ episodes!

One day I accidentally listened to a G-Dragon song, The XX. And I became known why Big Bang are so big and people go fanatic over them. Their songs are seriously cool...unlike other Kpop groups. I became a Big Bang VIP (fan). And now, I am a Korean fan. I love the food, the dramas (esp comedy), the music, etc.

I am already a fan of Japanese stuff before this. Even up to comics and few anime. So the Korean wave is quite new and foreign to me. I remembered I use to belittle Kpop. Who knew few years later I am also hooked to some Kpop groups/bands/singers. Haha.

Like I said, I am an avid fan of Running Man and one of my fave is Gary (aside of Jong Kook). I found that Gary is so charismatic on stage. His lyrics are truthful and honest. Here I want to share in one of his latest song, he actually sings! I am so obsessed with his sound!

A break from the 2014 Euro Trip posts.
Seems like the holidays are calling for baby boom. Been getting a lot of babies in the hospital during the hols. Shot 5 babies out of 8 during Raya Haji. Last time during Hari Malaysia, there were 11 babies!

Anyway, Aidiladha 2015 is memorable so far.

1) FF slaughtered his own qurban, a goat.
2) Went to Kota Tinggi day after Raya, and it was so hazey on the highway. Apparently, Johor hit 200 API.
3) Cousin engaged with long-time boyfriend & new baby in family, Aariz Ziqri's aqiqah.
4) Back to our house and KL/Selangor now hit with over 200 API! School closed.

I don't know how people keep posting blog with pictures. I don't think their hard disk is loaded with photos like mine. I have tons and there are just too much to look through.

Ah! I'm just too tired already.

After Edinburgh, we have one night in Glasgow. Took a bus from Edinburgh (from the bus stop near our hotel) to Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow. From the bus station, we waited for my cousin to pick us up.

Did I ever tell you that I have a Scottish cousin? No? Well now you know.
His name is Lee. And he is very Scottish. We (our family) just got to know about Lee around 3-4 years ago when his dad told his children about him. No one knew about his existence before and everyone was quite shocked learning about this. Anyway, one thing led to another, the searching began and all, the family found him! It was a bittersweet moment when Lee finally met my uncle. My uncle was sick, and he got his final wish which was to see his long lost son. Not long after, he died. But Lee remain family to us (the Clan, as we call it).

Anyway, Lee brought us around Glasgow in his car and to the two most coveted football clubs' stadiums in Glasgow; Celtic & Rangers! Me & FF, we have this kind of thing we do where we try to visit football stadiums when we go on trips. Whenever we do so, we use the hashtag IFInvadingStadiums, most applicable in Instagram. And we also try (not always possible) to do a #halfhalfview. This hashtag is created by my sister & her husband and the first one I did using that hashtag was Lulu & Mimi's picture in Bali.

Back to the story, we manage to visit the two stadiums and the Glasgow University aka Hogwarts because it looks like it. It is believed that JK Rowling's Hogwarts is an inspiration of this. However, by the time we arrived at the uni, it was dark & they had no lights on that day. Pity.

Just the year before I said to FF, we should go to Celtic Park. And now here we are!

Our night ends with Lee sending us back to our hotel, Z Hotel. It is very convenient because it is just near the George's Square.

The next day, we strolled around Glasgow city, window shopping mostly, before our flight out back to London.

I guess that's it for my 2014 Edinburgh post. In summary, pictures don't do justice. You have to go there to feel the atmosphere, the ketenangan, the feel & view of the place. Magnificient! What a beautiful and diverse world we live in!
